HOW TO MAKE PEOPLE AWARE OF THE TOOLS

1.Targeting the heads of school through sensitizing them with demonstration case studies. People need to have a hands on experience so they can appreciate the need for the tools. Train them to start with the simpler tools then finally introduce the complex one.

2.Using user friendly tools there are lack of trainers in the community and hence when they easily learn the use of the tools then they can easily pass it on.

3.Trainers should walk where they talk for purposes of practicability

4.The benefits of the tools should be clearly stated especially the additional advantages

How to build on their skills of using the tools

1.Using the new system alongside the old system to gain confidence

2.Introduce tools one by one to non- sensitive departments

3.Conduct knowledge sharing workshops

4.Training should be separated according to the levels e.g Accountants, Heads for purposes for specializing and specifically targeting their skills in using the tools.

There are challenges especially schools in the rural setting, this would call for investment in some technology just to support the schools and the rural communities. However, there is a need for organizations to come up together and reach out whether government intervenes in or not.
