Dear Organisers,

This is a very interesting conference and I have thought about how to use the web2 tools in my network - Pacific Energy Gender Network (PEG). It is an important tool that can be utilised to enhance further the collaboration required mainly on what is actually needed on the grounds. I think that I can start of with the blogging tool whereby we send information to our contacts and we can get feedback and commnets, whether the information is relevant or not, and this may create a platform for discussion.

The Wiki is useful to involve our partners in developing project proposals and sharing expertise and resources which has been a contraints in the Pacific. I wish that CTA can also provide technical expertise to our members in terms of funding oppourtunities, case studies that can replicated in the pacific region and also a platform for just pointing us to the right places in particular to issues of energy and rural development ( agriculture and informal sectors) as well as micro credit financing.

I would like to thank the sponsors for giving me the oppourtunity to learn about web2.0.

A new idea from me has emerged in the last day of this conference. Energy accessibility for efficient lighting in rural areas of the Pacific region is a must - this is the core function of my organisation.

But having learnt about the experiences from Uganda and the magic power of using the mobile phones, I believe that energy for lighting as well as accessibility for charging mobile phones should be encouraged in the rural areas of the pacific region. The conference has broaden my perspective on how lighting and ICT should work together for rural development. ICT is the missing link for sustainable development particular for improving livelihood in the rural areas, reduce urbanisation and improving education.

Thank you all for a very successful conference.
