Abstract
The Met Office Hadley Centre is at the forefront of climate research. Increasingly the products of this research say more and more about the likely impacts of climate change within the next two decades. Bringing this climate knowledge into close proximity with other knowledge may enable entirely new knowledge of the relationships between man and environment to be created.
The presentation will take some of the many map datasets available from climate modelling experiments and seasonal weather forecasts, and show how these may be combined with diverse information to inform and challenge decision makers.
The presentation will include interactive demonstrations using maps from HadObs http://hadobs.metoffice.com and PRECIS http://precis.metoffice.com using KML, Google Maps and Google Earth.
Live websites will be created, demonstrated, and modified during the conference week with collaborators from the climate research community. Other disciplines will be encouraged to participate.
